working on a new section, should reopen by end of april, thanks for your patience.
hey brad, give me a call.
opening day = may 1
spent about 100 hrs last fall and this spring doing patches and rebuilding a big section about 1/2 way down – much more interesting and technical to sharpen your skills (less braking, off-camber corners, small gaps, a tricky log step-up). it will take most people a while to ride it clean, but hopefully you enjoy it.
Looking forward to it!!
new section clearly needs some more adjusting, some parts don’t work like i had hoped. once its sorted and packed down it should flow nicely. thanks for your patience…
Cant wait to ride it again. Keep us posted.
very loamy at the top…hope it packs out. Other than that it’s excellent riding. Still fast and flowy at the bottom
Just wondering if Angry Midget’s still closed?
Thanks for the note Clark and thanks for doing the work on it!
There is still a sign saying that AM is closed at the top of Half Nelson- is it really closed, or just for those who don’t read this board?!
Thanks for all the work Clark, really, really fun trail.
i heard the closed sign is back up. wasn’t me. its been open since may 1 and will stay open until the fall, as usual. i’ll try to get up there and touch up the new section again in the next week or two.
Rode it again yesterday Clark…it gets better everyday!
What a trail! First time today and all I can say is…shaZAM 🙂
Top section is really rough, and the old line has been re-opened and is making a mess of the new line. Bottom section is still good.
Closed for season as usual (with apologies to brad). Will return better than ever next spring. Have a great winter everyone!
Can! Not! Wait!
Is the trail open yet?
The trail is being ridden, wheather it’s open or not may be a different story
That’s one of the problems, some people don’t respect when the trail builder closes a trail. For the majority of us who don’t ride it while it’s closed, it’s almost defeating as to why we wait until it’s open again. Having said that, whether people ride AM or not, it’s a great trail once it is open!
some people are so short-sighted. i was planning on spending a day buffing it up as usual for the re-opening but i can’t be bothered now. some sections will hold up fine but its going to be very rough when it dries out. i’ll ride it this week to see if anything major needs attention. i plan to definitively close the old section in the middle in the next couple weeks.
There is a potential decpitator log over the trail mid-way down. Probably best if someone can cut it out prior to the toonie. Trail is pretty muddy right now.
