7mesh, Corsa Cycles, Nesters and Steve Fecho Catering have a wickedly fun XC race planned for y’all this Wednesday!
The 7mesh route-setting team has once again put together an awesome Tour de Valleycliffe of slightly wily and devious linkups that will take you on some lesser trodden trails. Great trails followed by food, bevies and hanging with your bike besties – what more could you want on any given Wednesday?
7mesh offers insanely well designed bike gear for road and trail riding in all conditions…and they’re based in Squamish, so you know they’re stuff is designed to withstand our wetcoast climate.
Corsa Cycles is a full-service MTB bike shop located in Squamish BC. They recently relocated to a larger space on Cleveland and are offering a full range of demo and rental bikes, as well as suspension servicing – go check em out!
Nesters Market Squamish is where the locals shop. Check out their in-house juice bar after a long ride and get back some of that energy – flash your SORCA keytag to get 25% off smoothies! (Or check out their in-house pharmacy for post ride Advil and Epsom salts)
Steve Fecho is a legend in this town – he’s been dishing out delicious apres food for SORCA events for years, always with a huge smile on his face.
Trailforks was getting confused with the route…ha! so you’ll just have to follow this description and the signage:
Start out by the power house, back on the road and turn on the connector up to S&M to Hairy Bomber and down Sweeter the Barry take the left just as you come off Sweeter the Barry and over to Fartherside. At the top take the connector that goes over to the end of the Raaa. Keep going up Fatherside then up to Singletrack Mind and down. Finish at the end/Start of Farside.
Sign on will be 6:00-6:30 pm where the Farside Access Connector trail forks off the main Powerhouse Access FSR (little parking lot there).
Race start at 6:30 pm sharp.
Don’t forget to bring your RFID tag and your $5 to the after party!
We need a few marshals on course and a sweep, so email [email protected] if you’re able to help.
We’re at the halfway mark in the race season; here are the overall standings for the XC series and the enduro series for those of you who are into such things (KOM/QOM won’t be revealed until the bitter end though)
