28 Trails! SORCA’s birthday bash

What: 28 Trails – our annual birthday event, with a twist this year

Who: SORCA Members!

When: This weekend – Friday, October 2, Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4

Where: Across the trail network! There will be no after-party this year.

It’s time for our annual birthday ride! SORCA has handpicked 28 trails to celebrate 28 years of good times. The 28 trails will be announced this Thursday evening by 6 PM through our newsletter and social media. Large creative trail signs (that you cannot miss) will be posted somewhere along the trails in the wee hours before the sun rises on Friday. You’ll have three days this year to ride as many trails as you can, making sure there is lots of room for distancing on trails.

How To Participate:

  1. Register online by donation here: https://spruceregistrations.com/sorca/register/28-trails-467b0f16. Registration is mandatory and you will be required to sign our COVID-19 waiver through the Registration process. You must be a SORCA member to participate. Maximum riding groups of 6, please remember to social distance while on the trail, at trailheads, and getting your selfies!
  1. Head out with your bubble buddies on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th and make sure to snap a selfie of yourself in front of the signs. This is proof that you did in fact ride the trail! Feel free to post to Facebook or  Instagram with #28trails
  2. Trails, and details on how to submit the trails you’ve ridden, are here: https://sorca.ca/events/28-trails
  3. The more trails you ride, the more chances you’ll have to win a prize. We’ve got 2 prizes to be awarded for each trail and with all three days open to riders, there’s a good chance you’ve got some stiff competition. We will be announcing the winners of each trail in the following week.

On Monday Oct 5th, we are looking for volunteers to take down the signs.  Please send a message to [email protected] or post on our FB page the signs you have removed and posted on your family mantel.

We want everyone to be safe at this event.  We are taking direction from the Province, and have a list of precautions for this event as outlined in our SORCA Illness Policy:
