SORCA believes that our mandate to enhance the trail network and engage the trail user community is best served by leadership from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Diversity that brings the skill and richness of talent reflected in Squamish strengthens our community and the community at large. Anyone who has a passion for the trails and wants to contribute to the governance of SORCA is encouraged to run for a position on the Board. We particularly encourage BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, those with disabilities, and youth to run for election, as these groups continue to be under-represented on our Board.
