Meeting Details

This meeting will allow local businesses to select the event(s) & date(s) of the Social, Cincos and/or Super Cincos events(s) they wish to host. At this annual meeting, the order of priority for the date selection will be as follows:

Pool 1:
The first pool of names to be drawn will be all companies that hosted a race in the prior season (for 2022 this will be 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons due to COVID). When the company is pulled, they will advise on what date and event (singular) they wish to host (from all remaining dates). In the event an organization that has not hosted the previous year has teamed up with a prior year host, the alliance will qualify for a pool 1 selection. After all organization names have been pulled from Pool 1, SORCA staff will commence drawing names from Pool 2. Companies can be listed individually or as their hosting alliance of companies (max 4).
Notwithstanding another pandemic-affected season, the 2023 criteria will be those companies that hosted a race in 2022.

Pool 2:
Any companies that did not host a race the previous season and have expressed an interest to host an event (in advance or during the hosting date fixing meeting) will be placed into a second pool of names. Companies can be listed individually or as their hosting alliance of companies (max 4).
If all names have been pulled and remaining events are available, the SORCA team will ask if there is any interest in hosting a second event. If such interest arises, all names will be pooled and drawn for the remaining spots.
If events remain without a host, SORCA staff have the right to ask hosts to move dates to ensure priority events have an assigned host.

**This is an in-person event, proof of vaccination will be required. If you cannot attend for any reason but would like to put your hat in the ring please email vince@sorca.ca. **
