We had great engagement from the community during our Volunteer Trailwork Challenge, thanks to all who took part! Great to see so many community members invested in and keen to give back to the trails! The SORCA trail crew really appreciated the help with brush cutting, the impact of your hard work was not only felt by them but by all those who got to enjoy these cleared trails! Although this may be the end of our contest, the trailside flora is still growing rapidly and we could still use some help with brush-cutting efforts. If you are able to, we'd love for you to continue with trail clearing when you can. We recognize the value and the importance of our community volunteers, and we really appreciate the time you put in!![]()

Each trail cleared gave you one submission to win one of our draw prizes. We have 3 $100 gift cards to Howe Sound Equipment and 7 SORCA prize packs! Lucky winners have been drawn and are listed on a graphic below.![]()

Next Wednesday, August 10th, Corsa Cycles and Treat Squamish are hosting SORCA's 8th Cinco of the year- a women’s Enduro! This Cinco is designed to welcome ladies from a variety of riding levels to come out and ride and race together! This event is going to feature some delicious treats on course and special wine and charcuterie apres. ![]()

Like our bi-weekly Cinco races, Spruce Race Timing is handling our registrations and race timing. As this is a 3-person team event the registration is a bit more complex. Only your team captain needs to register but be patient as it will take 5-10 minutes to complete your team entry!![]()

SORCA is excited to announce the recent Forest Range and Practices Act (FRPA) Section 57 approval from RSTBC for a 900m extension of Miki’s Magic! We are looking forward to more than doubling the length of this important commemorative trail dedicated to the life of our valued community member, Mikayla Martin. We are grateful to have the support of the Martin family for this project. SORCA has awarded the trail construction contract to Dream Wizards (lead builder of the original trail) who is set to break ground this summer!![]()

We aim to foster inclusivity on our trail network and we are excited to announce this trail will be AMTB (adaptive mountain bike) friendly. Adaptive riders enjoy the accessibility and characteristics of the original trail and are really looking forward to this 900m extension!![]()

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Dream Wizards for their rich history within our network as passionate and dedicated volunteers and industry-leading trail-building contractors. It is difficult to go for a ride in Squamish without rolling over dirt that has been touched by Dream Wizards' machines or hands and we are all excited about what Ted and his team will produce later this Summer and Fall.
