Youth 2-Stage Enduro Race + more: Hilltop MTB, Alice & Brohm, Dialed In Cycling, Joe Pesto’s and Airhouse
June 1 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
A little something for all the budding racers, from run bikes to big wheels!
HILLTOP MTB was born out of a desire to attract and keep more girls on bikes, while bridging the gaps in existing youth programming. Locally owned and operated, Hilltop MTB programming includes a range of options from regular after school sessions, summer camps and race development training, all the way to mentorship and backcountry adventures! Our approach to coaching and mentoring extends beyond the bike, as we focus on developing character, leadership and discipline while keeping it adventurous, fun and positive. We believe with the right coaching, mentoring, structure and fun, anything is possible, and we strive to give riders the tools to “throw-down” on any trail, on their bikes and beyond!
Dialed In Cycling:
Dialed In Cycling is all about fun on two wheels! Kids can explore the trails and learn new skills in our after school programs and summer camps. Adults can join in with guided family tours, specialized coaching programs and company retreats. Need a bike? Our rental fleet include kids bikes, commuters, hard tails and full suspension bikes to keep the whole family rolling this summer. Come check us out at MTN Fun Basecamp 1796 Depot Rd.
Alice & Brohm Ice Cream:
Alice & Brohm is here to celebrate every great day in Squamish. Serving up “not your average” ice cream – Alice & Brohm blends high-quality BC dairy with real fruit to create a soft-serve style ice cream you will be telling your friends about. This ice cream shop is locally owned, sustainably minded, and inspired by New Zealand summer. Keep an eye out for their vintage Boler trailer as well – doling out ice cream and smiles all along the Sea to Sky.
Joe Pesto’s Woodfired Pizza:
Come on into Joe Pesto’s, downtown Squamish. We are locally owned and operated. Enjoy our award winning pizza voted best in Squamish! Dine in and have your choice of wood fired, New York style or the best gluten free crust in town, alongside locally crafted beer and wine on tap! Or grab one to go and savour Joe Pesto’s from the comfort of your own home. We look forward to sharing our love of pizza with you. Wood Fired Pizza is baked at 800-900 degrees next to a hardwood fire in an Italian brick oven. The dough is specially made for the oven and results in a crispy outside and a soft “fresh bread” inside texture. This is Neapolitan style pizza made in the centuries old traditional way. Most people who taste it for the first time say it is the best tasting pizza they have ever experienced.
We are a progressive, freestyle trampoline training centre offering a wide range of action sports programs for everyone. Our goal is to provide the best athletic experience in a fun learning environment. whether you are a kid just starting to learn the basics or a competitive athlete looking for professional training and coaching, Airhouse is the place for you. Airhouse first opened in Squamish, B.C. in Dec. 2015 and we now have two more state of the art locations in both Kelowna nad Nanaimo.
Youth 2-Stage Enduro + Kids “Track Race”
Hilltop MTB and Dialed In Cycling are putting together the first of five races in this year’s series, and it’ll have a little of something for everyone!
Seasoned racers can get ready to sink their teeth into a zesty 2-stage enduro, or if you’re one of Squamish’s newer/younger shredders, try-out the single-stage option! We’ve even got something for our run-bike-rippers and younger budding racers just looking to get their first taste of racing bikes.
An event for the whole family to enjoy!
Registration: Begins at 11:00am at Garibaldi Highlands Elementary School
Racing: Starts at 12:00pm
- DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR TIMING TAG. If you had one last year, please bring it with you. All new racers will be assigned a new tag for the season.
- No SORCA membership, no race for you! Get your membership here.
- Bring your $2 to the afterparty
Enduro Race Course: 2-Stage or 1-Stage … You Choose!
Stage one: Lumber Jacks (from the start of the descent)
- Lumber Jacks is a great blue trail and a great option for seasoned riders and those newer to racing alike!
Transition: Up Glen’s Car Wash – Jay Crescent – Towards Committed DH – Turn Right at Committed DH (before start of Gap Jumps) to intersection of 4-play
Stage two: 4-Play Descent (until early exit back to Coho Park Trail Climb)
- 4-play starts off with some open flow and pumping and is blue rated within the first half. It finishes with some zestier, steeper sections and is rated as a black for the second half.
- This is a trail for strong intermediate and above so, we recommend taking a look at 4-Play for line-options and to ensure each riders’ comfort – this is also great race training!
Kids Track Race:
Taking place at Garibaldi Highlands Elementary following Enduro race start. Run-Bikers and young shredders all welcome!
Presented by Alice & Brohm Real Fruit Ice Cream, Joe Pesto’s Pizza and Airhouse, you can expect delicious food and fun times!
After party starting post-race at approximately 2:30pm … head to the back of Airhouse for check-in.
We are always in need of awesome volunteers for youth races, especially for course marshaling and timing. Please follow up with Jaime if you are available this weekend. [email protected]
