28 Trails – Friday, Oct 2 – Sunday, Oct 4, 2020
28 trails are dropping in hot! #28trails
This year, make sure you bring your phone or camera, read below.
You’ll have three days this year to ride as many trails as you can, making sure there is lots of room for distancing on trails. We want everyone to be safe at this event. We are taking direction from the Province, and have a list of precautions for this event as outlined in our SORCA Illness Policy. If you have any symptoms, please stay home!
How To Participate:
- Register online by donation here: https://spruceregistrations.com/sorca/register/28-trails-467b0f16. Registration is mandatory and you will be required to sign our COVID-19 waiver through the Registration process. You must be a SORCA member to participate. Maximum riding groups of 6, please remember to social distance while on the trail, at trailheads, and getting your selfies!
- Head out with your bubble buddies on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th to rides as many trails as you can. Feel free to post your photos to Facebook or Instagram with #28trails. Each of the 28 trails has a unique and creative sign placed somewhere along it. The idea is to ride as many of the 28 trails as possible, over three days, taking a picture of you in front of the creative sign (not the green trailhead sign) for each trail you ride.
All 28 signs are pictured below – can you guess them all?
How to submit your rides:
Once you’ve completed as many trails as you can, you’ll need to fill out this form with your name, and tick off the trails you’ve hit: https://forms.gle/ZUMWfCTrE8F6m6CW7
The form is blank for now! We’ll release the actual trail names for you to tick off starting Friday afternoon, giving you time to try and decrypt the trail signs and get a head start before the actual names are released. You’ll have until 7 PM Sunday to submit your rides.
We’ll pick two lucky prize-winners for each trail. If your name is selected, we’ll be in touch over email to get the photo you took of yourself in front of that trail sign. The more trails you ride, the better your chances of winning an awesome prize from local sponsors!
We’d love to have some help taking signs down on Monday, October 5th. If you can head out and grab our creative trail signs, send a message to [email protected] or post on our Facebook page which trails you have cleared and we’ll spread the word. You get to keep the artwork 😉
**Hint – one of these signs is for the casino pump track. Please only use the pump track as the dirt jumps are closed for repair**
