While the trails in this zone are not numerous, they are a treat. Cat Lake and its surrounding forests are beautiful. Expect long descents with exciting wood features.

There are a few ways to reach Cat Lake from Highway 99. One is to ride from the access point along the road to the lake, the other is to take Section 57 up. Section 57 is an intermediate, multi-directional trail that offers technical, rewarding climbing on the way up and a fun descent.

Once you’ve reached the top, however, you might consider taking Cheshire Cat down instead. A black diamond route, Cheshire Cat offers flowy and technical sections from the lake back down to the road. It has a couple of notable wood features as well.
