SORCA’s trail crew consists of between 2 – 6 paid staff contributing approximately 6000 hours per year into maintaining and building the communities trails. The hard-working crew is led by SORCA’s Trail Crew Manager/ Lead Builder, AJ Strawson. Snow dependent, the crew are working on the trails year-round. The crew also takes a leadership role in planning and executing a number of volunteer ‘Dig Days’ and training workshops for the community.

SORCA’s volunteer Board of Directors set the strategy for the organization and our volunteer Committees and staff (Trail Crew, Events Coordinator, Community Engagement Manager, Lead Builder/ Trail Crew Manager and Executive Director) manage the day-to-day operations working towards achieving our vision. SORCA applies for the Canada Summer Jobs Grant and other related grants to stretch your membership dollars. It’s a great opportunity for young community members to get some job experience, spend time working outdoors, and contribute to an important community asset.
