COMMERCIAL OPERATORS & EVENTS
Squamish’s legendary trail network plays host to numerous events, demo days, product launches and media events each year, while local coaching and guiding companies rely on the trail network to instruct and lead locals and visitors alike. While the geography and climate provide the conditions for Squamish’s unique and beautiful trails, SORCA staff and an army of volunteers put in countless hours to maintain the trails, build new trails, and advocate with landowners to keep trails open and improve access. To foster and promote a culture of stewardship, this policy is intended to formalize arrangements with event organizers and commercial operators while managing commercial and non-commercial use of the trails in a mutually beneficial manner.
