Oneup DH SORCA cinco - October 20th
*** UPDATE***
We are sorry to announce that after careful consideration, SORCA and @oneupcomponents are postponing this weekend's DH race due to the significant storm system, specifically on Friday and Saturday. SORCA and OneUp believe running a race under such heavy precipitation and high winds would be poor stewardship. In addition to the trail wear and likely blowdown, the weather will significantly dampen the 50+ volunteers and racer experience.
With this in mind, we are moving the race to Oct 27. It will be the same format and schedule (Friday- Sunday) as communicated previously. If you are unable to attend the new date and request a full refund, please email info@sorca.ca. For those who had longer-distance travel plans, we are especially sympathetic to your situation. Registration will remain open until 8pm October 25th or until the event reaches capacity!

We’re excited to announce the return of DH Cincos with the OneUp DH SORCA Cinco, proudly supported by OneUp Components! If you're passionate about downhill racing or have exceptional descending skills, this is your chance to compete and see how you measure up against the best. This event is a fundraiser for the SORCA and will be taking place in the Diamond Head riding area!
The course will be marked as of noon on Friday, October 18th. Riders can do a track walk on the course anytime after 2 pm Friday (the course will be closed at this time to riders).
On Saturday, the course will be open for practice with discounted Shred Shuttles to be organized by the participants (using discounted shuttle code -SHREDDH). There will not be any marshalls on course; however, we will have a first-aid present. If you are self-shuttling on Friday or Saturday, limited parking is available at the chain-up lot and the lower Elfin Lakes parking lot. You cannot* park at the switchback just above 19th Hole. Parking outside of any designated areas will compromise our approvals with BC Parks.
On Sunday, racers will get a morning practice run followed by their afternoon race run (shuttles included in your entry)!
You must be a SORCA member to participate. Full-face helmets and back protection are mandatory. A full race notice, event schedule with race day shuttle details, and course release will be sent in advance to all participants.
Registration will remain open until 8 pm October 25th or until the event reaches capacity! Entry includes x2 Sunday shuttles and a post-race BBQ.
